Klaipeda’s City Public Health Bureau was established by the Klaipeda’s City Council’s law nr.T2-265 in August 2nd, 2007, as a budgetary institution. The institution officially has started implementing operations in May 6th, 2008.
The main purpose of the Klaipeda’s Public Health Office is to improve the health of the population in order to reduce the morbidity and mortality. Also, monitor public health of the city’s population as well as other municipalities under contract.
The vision of the Klaipeda’s Public Health Office is the higher population prevalence of a healthy lifestyle, increased life expectancy and an awareness of the public health practices.
The priority of the public health professionals working in the Klaipeda’s Public Health Office is to help, advise and learn to live healthily together!
